While not amidst the mountains, Michael’s passion for cooking takes center stage in his home kitchen. Being a true native of Zurich, he delights in preparing the city’s renowned dish, Züri Gschnätzlets. Music is an indispensable companion in his daily life, accompanying every activity. His trusty AirPods are an ever-present accessory, ensuring that he is never without his beloved soundracks. After successfully completing his Bachelor’s degree in International Technical Business Administration, with a focus on English and German, Steffen swiftly launched his career as an IT Business Consultant immediately after graduating. During this time, he crossed paths with Michael at the Deutscher Sparkassenverlag. Beyond that, Steffen gained experience in development roles within the automotive industry.

His passion for travel has led him to explore Asia, during which time he developed a particular fondness for Sri Lanka. Describing himself as an impatient individual who deeply appreciates animals and nature, he finds solace by stepping away from the screen during evenings and weekends, immersing himself in the beauty of the natural world. Walking, hiking, and, when the weather permits, cycling alongside his wife Louisa and their beloved black Labrador Dobby, provide the perfect balance to his daily routines.

Originally from the Palatinate region, he has resided in Esslingen and currently calls an apartment building with a garden his home, located outside Stuttgart, where he resides with Louisa and Dobby.

As fate would have it, his strong bond with Michael as a colleague led him to pursue new and exciting opportunities in Switzerland that are equally enjoyable. This serendipitous turn of events ultimately led him to join the dynamic team at LA Click.

Prior to joining LA Click, Gilbert operated as a self-employed professional in online marketing, specializing in SEM, data analysis, project management, and shop and web development.

When he’s not globe-trotting, Gilbert resides in Küsnacht with his cat Maru. He combines his travels, often embarked upon solo, with thrilling diving experiences. Additionally, he finds enjoyment in hiking, cycling, and wakeboarding. To balance his active outdoor pursuits, he relishes watching films on Netflix, indulging in delicious meals, and spending quality time with friends.

Anna’s great adventure unfolded through a playful joke, inspiring her to embark on a cycling journey. She traversed Switzerland, ventured through Italy, and continued her path along the Balkans, covering an impressive distance of 2700 km solely on her bicycle.

Born in Armenia, with a Russian mother and raised in France, Anna has called Zurich her home for the past five years. It was during an exchange MBA semester in South Korea that she met her Swiss boyfriend, forming a meaningful connection that led her to settle in Zurich.

Driven by requests from friends, Jara delved into website development for startups, which sparked her passion for marketing projects. During her free time, she indulges in playing and teaching badminton, following Formula 1, and creating custom clothes from second-hand materials that perfectly fit her personal style.

When it comes to music, Thi finds herself captivated by the fiery rhythms of salsa, often indulging in her passion for dance. And for the past two years, she has been a hazzard on the Swiss ski slopes on her trusty snowboard!

While Thi’s professional background lies in finance, having completed a banking apprenticeship and spending a decade at Credit Suisse, she eventually felt a calling to expand her horizons in the field of marketing. Her journey took her through an internship at a start-up, followed by a transition to the CRM department of a beauty company. Although Jonas began his professional career as an IT consultant, his true passion has always been photography. As a result, he made the switch to pursue photography professionally. Along the way, he also started pursuing a teaching diploma to become a high school teacher. Currently, Jonas has temporarily put his teaching diploma on hold and embarked on a career change in online marketing, specializing in Google Ads.

Outside of work, Jonas enjoys indulging in his hobbies of photography, hiking, tending to plants, and playing video games. He has a keen interest in gadgets and technology, as well as a love for good food and travel. Jonas appreciates simplicity over complexity and strives to live a minimalist lifestyle. A random fact about Jonas is that his great-grandfather is the architect of the Landesmuseum Zurich.

Following her graduation she gained practical experience by working at a reception desk in a London hotel for a year. Eventually, she returned to Switzerland and now resides in Wädenswil, near Lake Zurich. To enhance her knowledge in data management, Salome pursued a degree in Data Science. She also worked in project management within the holiday apartment sector, where she was responsible for data analysis.

In her leisure time, Salome enjoys playing the violin, hiking, snowboarding, and exploring different cultures through travel. During a volunteer assignment in Indonesia, she dedicated five months to teaching English. Additionally, Salome participated in a university project in Ghana, where she contributed to the construction of a fresh water tank.

What captivates Salome about the world of data is its versatility, as it plays a vital role in evaluating various fields. She finds the storytelling aspect and analyzing human behavior particularly exciting. Now, as a member of our Data Team, Salome can fully immerse herself in the world of data.

What captivates Pia about events is the opportunity to bring different ideas to life and share them with others. This is why she serves as our Project Lead in the Event Team, overseeing the realization of various projects.

Pia was born and raised in the Philippines, where she also completed her Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy. With a background in HR and event management, she gained valuable experience and spent three years at Google in Zurich as an event coordinator.

Outside of work, Pia is happily married and cares for a foster cat, as well as two cats of her own, all of which she adopted from animal welfare organizations in Santorini. She is deeply involved in volunteering for the Trap/Neuter/Return mission and supports animal welfare initiatives. In her leisure time, Pia indulges in her love for classic and science fiction films, aiming to surpass the milestone of watching 1000 films this year. Additionally, she enjoys playing video games, further expanding her entertainment repertoire.

Prior to joining LA Click, she gained practical experience through two internships and worked as a marketing assistant in Effretikon.

Having completed her Master’s degree in Business Informatics and E-commerce in Trier, Ebru accumulated five years of experience at Google in Hamburg, where she served as a project manager and head of the Google Future Workshop.

Ebru’s adventurous spirit has taken her across the globe. While originally from Germany, she has also lived in Istanbul and New York, allowing her to explore approximately 22 countries within a span of two years.

Outside of work, Ebru delights in savoring sushi, staying updated on new technologies and innovations, and maintaining her workaholic tendencies as an early riser. However, it’s best to approach her once she’s had her time to wake up fully. She also has a weakness for chocolates, which she prefers to enjoy herself rather than giving them away.

With the aid of Google Data Analytics, he transitioned into data management, opening up new career opportunities and perspectives.

Timo has a deep passion for travel, with one of his most memorable experiences being a three-month journey across Western Europe with his partner in a camper. He has a penchant for Indian and East Asian cuisine and enjoys exploring their diverse flavors. In his leisure time, Timo engages in activities such as playing golf, hiking, and immersing himself in the outdoors.

As a devoted Formula 1 fan, Timo even takes race weekends as an opportunity to embrace a culinary challenge by preparing a typical dish from the host country. Originally hailing from southern Germany, Timo has now called Switzerland home for eight years.

Jeremy brings a wealth of academic knowledge and experience to our Data Team. With a Bachelor’s degree in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics from Belfast and a Master of Science in Political Economy from Konstanz, he had the opportunity to pursue a PhD but opted for gaining practical work experience instead of becoming a lecturer.

In his role supporting our Data Team, Jeremy finds working with event data particularly exciting. It allows him to gain insights into various events, identify trends, and capture their essence. He appreciates the ongoing advancements in artificial intelligence and automation, as they facilitate optimizations and enable targeted decision-making in this field.

Outside of work, Jeremy has a love for hiking and embarking on spontaneous adventures with a tent. He even braved ice bathing in Finland at temperatures as low as minus ten degrees. Strategic activities, such as chess and puzzles, also captivate Jeremy’s interest. He used to enjoy playing the piano and hopes to rekindle that passion in the future.

With Canadian and German roots, Jeremy has had a nomadic upbringing, moving approximately every two years due to his father’s job and his family’s passion for exploring new countries. He has lived in various places, including Germany, Canada, Ethiopia, Northern Ireland, Thailand, and Switzerland, to name a few. This multicultural background has enriched his perspective and nurtured his curiosity about different cultures and nations.

Samira brings valuable experience to our Event DACH team, having worked in the event sector for three years at a start-up. Her passion lies in marketing and events, where she finds the combination of creative and analytical work fascinating, while being exposed to different topics and new trends.

Prior to joining LA Click, Samira gained further experience as a marketing assistant in an advertising agency for two years. She then pursued her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at ZHAW. Along her journey, she also ventured into the finance department of a clinic before embarking on an adventurous three-month trip to Colombia, Indonesia, and Sri Lanka.

During her free time, Samira enjoys spending time with friends, practicing Pilates, snowboarding, and hiking. She is passionate about animal welfare, loves exploring new destinations, and attending festivals – which her beloved cat Amy sadly cannot join in. Nasi goreng holds a special place in her heart, and she could happily eat it every day. Originally from St. Gallen, Samira has made Zurich her home after completing her studies.

As Head of Employee Experience, Catherine is dedicated to co-creating a best-in-class employee experience, enabling both our team and business to grow and perform at their best, while building on our unique LA Click culture. 

To this end, she applies her wealth of experience in HR topics and solutions from various industries and international companies, which she gained over the last 20 years. 

These experiences have also given her insights into many ways of working and “doing HR” that clearly do not work, and she believes that the traditional HR function needs to significantly change its focus and approach. So we are really excited to be able to explore some more progressive approaches in setting up our HR processes and policies and ways of working.

Catherine’s passion for HR is also evident in her interest in continuously developing herself personally and professionally – lifelong learning is very important to her. 

Apart from enabling people and organizations to perform at their best, Catherine is also passionate about self-sufficiency, “zero-waste” and her vegetable patch, where she can be found in her free time.Catherine is originally from the UK, and has been living in Switzerland for over 20 years; and although she lives in a land-locked country, her heart is really at home on the sea. She dreams of one day crossing the Atlantic and exploring the Mediterranean by sailboat.
